Idylwilde The latest report from Brian O'Keefe to Zach.

MAY 10, 2010

HEY ZACH — I flew to Guadeloupe but my luggage stayed in Haiti. Fortunately, Rick Hartman was joining me and he was geared up. Our guide took us up jungle rivers for tarpon, out to flats for bonefish and permit, and on to mangrove estuarites for snook. I fought a 120 lb tarpon for 25 minutes in a mangrove lagoon and Rick fought a 20 lb permit until they both said "au revoir." Oh, some of the bonefishing was done close to beaches where clothing must have been optional. Bones liked Morrish's West Side #4, Snook and tarpon liked a LEM Gotcha #4. Alex, the only fly guide, can be reached here.
